Leah Burgess is a Computer Engineering student at the University of Waterloo, expected to graduate in 2026. Currently serving as an iOS Engineering Intern at Faire since January 2025, Leah has previously held significant roles, including Frontend Development Team Lead at Minvest Finance, where leadership of a team of over 10 developers in a structured Agile environment was highlighted. Experience encompasses full stack development with technologies such as React, Typescript, SwiftUI, and Flask across various companies, including WATonomous and Fadr, demonstrating proficiency in both web and mobile application development, as well as backend API design and data management. Leah's technical contributions have included reengineering application architectures, developing CLI tools, and implementing cloud services to enhance software functionality and efficiency. Prior to the tech sector, experience in client relations was gained through a Court and Client Representative position with the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General.
