Jesse Hensel is an experienced educator and artist with a diverse background in teaching and art development. Currently serving as a 1st Grade Teacher at Pearl Creek Elementary within the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District since August 2013, Jesse has also held various roles in art education, including Artist in Residence with the Alaska State Council on the Arts and Lead Art Educator at OneTree Alaska. Jesse founded a contemporary art venture in November 1996 and has contributed to curriculum development through past positions with Howtoons and Zeum. Educational qualifications include a Master of Education in Art Teacher Education from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, a Master of Fine Arts in Sculpture from the San Francisco Art Institute, and a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts and Literature from Sarah Lawrence College.
