Marcus Goncalves is a physician-scientist focused on investigating the control of body weight, nutrient metabolism, metabolic disease, and cancer growth. They have expertise in Clinical Endocrinology, intermediary metabolism, and cancer metabolism. Currently a co-founder at Faeth Therapeutics, Marcus also serves as the Director of the Holman Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism at NYU Langone Health. Previously, they held fellowships at the Hospital for Special Surgery and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and they completed their Ph.D. research at the University of Pennsylvania on signaling pathways related to muscle metabolism and obesity. Marcus is an Associate Professor at Weill Cornell Medicine.
