Macarena Alvarez is a Laboratory Technician for the PLOMBOX project at the Facultad de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales, UBA, since November 2019, focusing on the development of biosensors within the "Genomics and design of biological systems (DNA)" research group. Prior experience includes roles as an Auditor at Food Control S.A., where Macarena conducted hygienic-sanitary audits, and as a graduate thesis researcher at UADE, developing a biosensor for mercury detection in water. Additional positions include tutoring in Chemistry and Biology, working as a Laboratory Technician at UADE Molecular Biology Laboratory, and participating as a team member in the TecnoX competition. Academic credentials include a Degree in Biotechnology from UADE and a Bachelor in Humanities and Social Sciences from Instituto República Argentina de Bernal.
