Payan ole-MoiYoi has a diverse work experience spanning from 2005 to 2022. In 2005, they began as a Geologist at CDM. From 2008 to 2012, they worked as a Product Designer at Payan Studio and BURN Design Lab. In 2012, they founded Kenya Stove and worked as an Environmental Scientist at Hart Crowser. From 2013 to 2014, they held the role of Product Design at Implement - product development. Since 2014, they have been a Design Engineer at Catapult Design. Currently, they are the Product & Industrial Design Director at Factor[e] Ventures.

Payan ole-MoiYoi attended the International School of Kenya from 1986 to 1998. Payan then went on to Princeton University where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Geosciences from 1998 to 2003.
