Dr. Parul Khator is a highly respected board-certified, fellowship-trained, ophthalmologist fully trained in all aspects of general ophthalmic eye care and surgery. She further specializes in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of cataracts and glaucoma. Dr. Khator first moved to Atlanta to enter the highly respected ophthalmology residency training program at Emory University Hospital. She then completed her fellowship training in glaucoma at the prestigious Wills Eye Institute, one of the nation’s top glaucoma programs. It was at Wills Eye Hospital that she developed an interest in clinical glaucoma research. She has published several articles and is a co-author of two book chapters regarding glaucoma surgery.
Dr. Khator manages the full spectrum of glaucoma, from early to advanced disease, performing both laser and incisional therapy. She is also a well-respected refractive cataract surgeon who performs laser-assisted cataract surgery and spends time with her patients helping them navigate the complex landscape of cataract surgical options. She is passionate about making patients as spectacle and glaucoma drop independent as possible after cataract surgery.
