Ryan Gariepy is a prominent figure in the robotics sector, currently serving as Co-Chair of the Canadian Robotics Council since April 2021, advocating for robotics-driven economic growth in Canada. In October 2023, Ryan took on the roles of Chief Technology Officer at both OTTO Motors and Clearpath Robotics, focusing on product strategy, engineering management, and R&D oversight. Additionally, Ryan is a Board Member at Open Robotics, providing strategic guidance for the organization. Previously, Ryan co-founded Clearpath Inc. and served as its CTO until October 2023. Early career experiences include roles as a Robotics Software Developer at Aeryon Labs Inc. and a Hardware Engineering Team Member at KIVA Systems. Ryan holds a Master of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechatronics Engineering, both from the University of Waterloo.
