Lerato Khumalo is a seasoned professional in climate strategy and environmental management, currently serving as Senior Associate: Climate Strategy at Exxaro Resources since February 2021. Previously, Lerato held the position of Senior Specialist: Climate Change & Air Quality at Exxaro Resources from April 2012 to February 2020. Additional experience includes working as Senior Environmental Specialist at SSI Consulting Structural Engineers in 2011-2012 and as Senior Air Quality Specialist at Airshed Planning Professionals Private Limited from 2005 to 2010. Lerato Khumalo earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Technology from the University of Pretoria between 2016 and 2020.
