Rachel Plakstis has extensive work experience in various healthcare and management roles. Rachel is currently serving as the Vice President of IDD Services at Extended Home Care since May 2023. From September 2020 to May 2023, they worked as the Director of Pediatric Business Development/Relations at Americare. Prior to that, they were employed at Partners Health Plan as Provider Relations from November 2019 to September 2020. Rachel also held positions at Care Design New York, where they served as the Provider Relations PHP/CDNY - Regional Director from October 2019 to September 2020, and as the Regional Director from June 2018 to October 2019. Their earlier experience includes working as the Director Of Operations/MSC Director at ANIBIC from April 2001 to May 2018, as the Director Of Operations at Total Media Inc. from March 1997 to April 2001, and as a Job Developer/Job Coach at ANIBIC from October 1994 to March 1997.

Rachel Plakstis completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Queens College in 1994. Rachel then pursued further education in Public Administration and Social Service Professions at CW Post, completing their studies in 1997.
