Leila Green MD, FACS is a skilled trauma and acute care surgeon with extensive experience in surgical critical care. Currently serving as Trauma Staff Surgeon and Trauma Medical Director at Extant Healthcare since September 2021, Leila previously worked at Envision Healthcare from August 2016 to August 2021. Leila completed a Surgical Critical Care Fellowship at both Parkland Hospital and UT Southwestern Medical Center from July 2015 to July 2016, following a General Surgery residency at Detroit Medical Center from July 2007 to June 2015. Leila's academic background includes an M.D. from Meharry Medical College (2003-2007) and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Oberlin College (1999-2003), where Leila was also a T32 Research Fellow at MD Anderson Cancer Center from July 2010 to July 2013.
