Aida Afsharnia is a skilled software engineer at Exro Technologies Inc. since September 2022. Previous experience includes serving as a research assistant at the University of Alberta from September 2019 to September 2022, where Aida focused on modeling, controlling, and simulating DFIG wind farms and DC microgrids using various tools such as Simulink and MATLAB. Aida also held positions as a lab instructor and teaching assistant, instructing over 200 students in courses related to microprocessors, embedded systems, and computer interfacing. Aida's earlier research experience at the University of Tehran included designing rehabilitation devices and implementing robotics systems. Aida holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with a specialization in Energy Systems from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering focused on Control Systems from the University of Tehran.
