Khaled Hashad is a Thermal Science Associate at Exponent, with a strong academic and research background in mechanical engineering. Prior to this role, Khaled was a PhD candidate at Cornell University, focusing on optimizing urban green infrastructure to mitigate traffic-related air pollution through CFD simulations. Khaled also served in various teaching assistant positions at Cornell University, including roles in Future Energy Systems and Heat Transfer labs, as well as an undergraduate teaching assistant at the University of Connecticut. Additional experience includes a systems and software engineering internship at Belcan, and an undergraduate research assistantship at the Optical Diagnostic Laboratory, paired with responsibilities as a resident assistant in university residential life. Khaled holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Connecticut.
