Gabor Mezei

Principal Scientist at Exponent

Gabor Mezei is a Principal Scientist at Exponent Health Sciences since 2013, providing expert scientific consultation on health effects related to environmental and occupational exposures. Prior roles include Senior Managing Scientist and Associate Editor at the Journal of Exposure Science and Environmental Epidemiology from 2008 to 2017, and Affiliate Associate Professor at the University of Washington from 2010 to 2014. Gabor Mezei also served as Program Manager at the Electric Power Research Institute (1999-2013), where a multidisciplinary research program was directed to investigate health effects of electromagnetic fields. Earlier experience includes roles such as Senior Project Manager and Project Manager at the National Research Institute for Radiobiology and Radiohygiene (2003-2005), Visiting Scientist at Toronto Western Hospital, and various medical and research roles at the University of California, Los Angeles, and Semmelweis University, culminating in a Ph.D. in Epidemiology from UCLA and an M.D. from Semmelweis University.
