Boyd Bastian has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Boyd started their career as a Reporter for KPVI News 6 in 2003, where they gained experience in on-air delivery, writing, production, and video editing. Boyd then worked as the Manager of Internal Communications at Nu Skin Enterprises from 2004 to 2006, where they were responsible for employee communications and contributed to PR efforts.

In 2006, they became the Public Information Officer for Salt Lake County's Division of Substance Abuse Services, where they handled public and media relations, event organization, technical writing, and marketing. Boyd also worked closely with division leaders on various initiatives.
