Willy Solis is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in safety assessment and toxicology. Currently serving as Senior Director of Safety Assessment at Exelixis since January 2021, Willy has previously held significant roles including Senior Director of Safety Assessment at Sutro Biopharma, Inc. from January 2017 to December 2020, and Principal Scientist-Toxicologist at Bristol-Myers Squibb from April 2014 to December 2016. Earlier career experiences include roles as Scientist-Toxicologist at Genentech and Scientist at CTGEN, where Willy investigated applications of qPCR technology in diagnostics and biomarker research. An academic background includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship focused on signal transduction pathways at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and a Ph.D. in Molecular Toxicology from the same institution, complemented by a BS in Natural Sciences from Xavier University.
