Harry Sokol

Co-Founder at Exeliom Biosciences

Harry Sokol began their work experience in 2007 as a Senior University registrar in the Gastroenterology department at Saint Antoine Hospital, APHP, Paris, France. In 2009, they worked as a Post-doc (MD. PhD) at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School. From 2011 to 2016, they served as an Associate Professor (MCU-PH) at AP-HP. In 2016, they co-founded Exeliom Biosciences (formerly Nextbiotix). Currently, they are a Professor of Gastroenterology (PU-PH) at AP-HP, and also works as the Coordinator for the Paris Center for Microbiome Medicine FHU, where they lead a team dedicated to advancing the understanding and applications of microbiota science in medicine.

Harry Sokol attended Université Paris Cité from 1996 to 2007. Harry obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree specializing in Hepatology-Gastroenterology during this time. Additionally, from 2005 to 2008, they studied at Paris-Sud University (Paris XI) and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Microbiology.
