Spence Guffey began their work experience in 2013 as a Lead Technician at Xpress. Spence held this position until 2016 when they transitioned to the role of Lead of Special Projects at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Guffey worked in this role for five years until 2022. In February 2022, they started working as an Automations Engineer at Exela Pharma Sciences LLC, where they continue to work currently.

Spence Guffey attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from 2017 to 2021, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Management Information Systems. Prior to that, from 2010 to 2012, they studied at the NASCAR Technical Institute and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering Technology/Technician. Additionally, they completed their Associate of Arts (AA) degree at Western Piedmont Community College.
