Lanny Boeing has extensive work experience in the legal field. From 1980 to 2006, they worked at Haynes and Boone, LLP, starting as an Associate and later becoming a Partner. In 2006, they joined EXCO Resources, Inc. as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary until 2016. Lanny then served as a Senior Advisor/Senior Counsel from 2016 to 2017. In 2017, they returned to Haynes and Boone, LLP as Of Counsel until 2019. Since September 2019, Lanny has been working as Vice President - Law at EXCO Resources, Inc.

Lanny Boeing obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics/Political Science from Northwestern University, which they attended from 1973 to 1977. Later, from 1977 to 1980, Lanny pursued higher education at SMU Dedman School of Law, earning a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree.
