Ian Gormely is a seasoned communications professional and journalist with extensive experience across various media platforms. Currently serving as the Manager of Editorial and Thought Leadership at the Vector Institute since April 2019, Ian oversees communications strategy, media relations, and content management. Ian has contributed to numerous publications including Exclaim!, Toronto Star, and The Guardian UK, and has held roles such as Senior Writer for the Ontario Public Service and Writer for the Martin Prosperity Institute. An adept user of GenAI tools, Ian has a solid background in writing, editing, and producing content for both print and digital formats, demonstrating a strong commitment to the arts and media industries. Ian holds a B.J. in Journalism from the University of King's College and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Victoria.
