Liahona Higgins is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS/R) with extensive experience in therapeutic recreation and support for individuals with developmental disabilities. Currently employed at Excelsior Wellness since June 2022, Liahona is responsible for creating specific program designs and implementing therapeutic interventions while collaborating with behavioral health providers. Previous experience includes serving as a Recreation Therapist Intern at ScenicView Academy, where Liahona planned and facilitated activities for young adults on the autism spectrum, and as a Teacher's Assistant at Brigham Young University - Idaho, providing mentoring on recreation therapy models. Additional roles involved supporting children with developmental disabilities in various settings and working in arts and education capacities, such as Color Guard Director. Liahona holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Brigham Young University - Idaho.
