Cam Patterson, M.D. MBA is the chancellor at the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences. Previously, he was the COO of New York Presbyterian Hospital at Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Patterson had served as the Associate Dean of UNC Healthcare Entrepreneurship, Chief of Cardiology and Physician-in-Chief of the UNC Center for Heart and Vascular Care, and he is a healthcare investor who has launched two start-ups.
He was the Director of UNC McAllister Heart Institute. Dr. Patterson is the Ernest and Hazel Craige Distinguished Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine. He is an Established Investigator of the American Heart Association and a Burroughs Wellcome Fund Clinical Scientist in Translational Research. He earned an M.B.A. from UNC and M.D. from Emory University.
