Andrew S. has a diverse work experience in various industries. Andrew started their career at D. E. Shaw & Co., where they held different roles including VP of Corporate Development and Head of Search. Andrew then joined Neighborhood Trust Financial Partners as the Director of Business Development, where they played a key role in scaling the organization and leading a new social venture. Andrew S. later joined Uncommon Schools as an Education Pioneers Executive Team Fellow, where they worked on assessing strategic investments and developing risk models. Currently, they are the Chief Financial Officer at Excel Academy Charter Schools, where they oversee finance, human resources, legal, talent, and various operations functions.

Andrew S. has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Columbia University, which they completed prior to 2002. Andrew later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The Wharton School, completing it from 2011 to 2015, and a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School, specializing in Social and Urban Policy, which they completed from 2013 to 2015.
