Sylvain B. has a long and varied work experience. Sylvain began their career in 2005 as a Lecturer in Mathematics at the Université de Bordeaux. In 2009, they moved to the Ecole Centrale de Nantes as a Full Time Lecturer in Applied Mathematics. In 2011, they held two positions simultaneously, as a Quantitative Analyst at ING Nederland and as a Quantitative Analyst (Intern) at ING Belgium. From 2013 to 2015, they worked as a Research Scientist at Sobios and Dassault Systèmes. In 2015, they also began working part time as a Lecturer in Biomathematics & Systems Biology at Polytech Nice Sophia. In 2018, they became Co-founder & Chief Science Officer at ExactCure and a Part Time Lecturer in Applied Mathematics at the Data ScienceTech Institute.

Sylvain B. has a long educational history. Sylvain obtained a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from Université de Bordeaux in 2003. Sylvain then went on to earn a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics from the same university in 2005. After that, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Mathematics and Scientific Computing from Université de Bordeaux in 2009. Finally, they earned a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics and Quantitative Finance from Université Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée in 2011.
