Jean-François Degbomont started their work experience in 2006 at Université de Liège, where they worked as a Chercheur/Assistant until 2013. In 2013, they joined EVS Broadcast Equipment as a Senior Software Engineer and later transitioned to the role of Software Architect from April 2015 to December 2018. Currently, they work as a Solution Architect at EVS Broadcast Equipment since January 2019.

Jean-François Degbomont began their education in 1992 at Athénée Royal Chênée, where they completed their secondary education. From 2001 to 2004, they attended Haute Ecole Rennequin Sualem, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Computer Science. Jean-François then pursued further studies at the University of Liège, completing a Master's degree in Computer Science from 2004 to 2006. Continuing their academic journey, Jean-François Degbomont earned a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Liège between 2006 and 2013.
