Johan Velez is a seasoned professional in the validation and engineering fields with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as the Senior Manager of Validation at Evonik since May 2017, Johan oversees the validation department at the Birmingham, AL site. Previously, as a Validation Lead, responsibilities included managing sterility assurance and validating processes for aseptic manufacturing facilities. Before Evonik, Johan held the role of Engineering Manager at Stallergenes Greer from January 2014 to March 2017, where management focused on capital investment projects at the Lenoir, NC site. Additionally, experience as a Senior Process Engineer at Greer Laboratories and a Senior Validation Engineer at Amgen contributed to a comprehensive skill set in process development and validation. Johan started the career as a Validations Specialist at Mintanciyan Consulting. Johan holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez.
