Jacob DeLois is an experienced professional in the fields of hospitality, restaurant management, and marketing. Currently serving as Senior Vice President for China at Compound since May 2018, Jacob leads initiatives to create city-specific residential real estate funds. As the owner of The Francis, a historic hotel in Portland, Jacob has successfully developed and launched the property since October 2017. Previously, as Managing Director at Render Restaurant Incubator, Jacob oversaw the establishment of six food businesses in Shanghai. Jacob also founded Edible Marketing, a boutique creative agency, and contributed significantly to the Shanghai food scene as the creator and writer for The Shanghai Foodist. With a background in marketing and project management, Jacob has worked with notable organizations including Wieden + Kennedy and McKinsey & Company. Jacob graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.A. in Asian Studies and Political Science.
