Reese Y.W. Tou has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in data science, research, and teaching.

Starting in 2021, Reese worked as a Data Scientist at Everstream Analytics. Prior to that, from 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Big Data Analyst at Aker BioMarine.

From 2016 to 2021, Reese was a Research Collaborator at eharmony, contributing to research projects.

In 2018, Reese worked as a Data Scientist at Houston Methodist for a brief period.

Before that, they had a teaching and project management role at the University of Houston from 2013 to 2018. As a Teaching Fellow, Reese handled course planning, classroom management, and student interactions. Additionally, they served as a Project Manager for an American Cancer Society-funded project, coordinating with research parties and community partners, conducting quality control on study materials, and managing data.

In 2018, Reese participated in the Science to Data Science (S2DS) program as a Data Scientist Fellow. They completed a project at News UK, utilizing SQL data pipelines, statistical analysis, and machine learning to provide business insights and develop a forecasting application for editorial teams.

Reese also gained research experience during their internship as a Research Fellow at Houston Methodist in 2017.

Earlier in their career, from 2012 to 2013, Reese worked as a Research Assistant at the Social Psychology Laboratory, National Chengchi University. From 2010 to 2012, they served as a Lab Manager at Yi-Cheng Lin's Social Cognition Laboratory, National Taiwan University.

Reese Y.W. Tou holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Social Psychology from the University of Houston, which was obtained from 2013 to 2018. Prior to that, Reese earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Psychology from National Taiwan University from 2010 to 2012. Before pursing the MS degree, Reese completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in International Relations from National Taiwan University, spanning from 2005 to 2009. Additionally, Reese has obtained certifications in the field. Reese is a SAS Certified Base Programmer for SAS 9, certified by SAS in October 2018. Reese also holds a certification from PIVIGO LIMITED in S2DS Virtual March 2018, earned in April 2018.
