Mark Peterson is an experienced actuary with a strong background in product development and pricing. Currently serving as an actuary at Security Benefit since August 2019, Mark previously held various positions at Protective Life from September 2000 to August 2018, including Vice President of Product Development and 2nd Vice President & Actuary, focusing on Universal Life Plans. Mark also worked in pricing and analysis for term insurance plans and managed a team of actuarial students. Prior experience includes roles as an Actuarial Associate at Allstate Financial, where responsibilities spanned annuity illustrations and asset-liability management, and an actuarial intern position at Great-West Financial. Mark earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
