Shane Batchelder, MSM, is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in stakeholder engagement, strategic communications, and graphic design. As the Senior Communications Manager at Evergy since April 2012, Shane focuses on external stakeholder engagement, specifically collaborating with ESG and DEI business units on company-wide initiatives related to reliability, sustainability, and affordability. Previous roles include Customer/External Communications Rep (contract/freelance), Marketing Communications Rep at Westar Energy, Creative Design Specialist at The Coleman Company, and Graphic Department Manager at Standard Beverage Corporation, where Shane successfully enhanced marketing efforts and departmental productivity. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Management and a BA in Mass Communication, both from Southwestern College, along with a high school diploma from GCHS.
