Larry Sun has a diverse range of work experience in marketing and operations roles. Larry started their career in 1999 as a DJ and beatmaker, performing globally and sharing stages with notable artists. Larry transitioned into the advertising industry, working as a campaign manager for Myspace and Vice Media. In 2010, they joined Thomson Reuters as a senior campaign manager, delivering custom sponsorship ad campaigns. Larry then moved to LinkedIn, where they became the manager of ad operations and led a team of 12 campaign managers. Larry received the 2011 Global MVP Award at LinkedIn. After that, they worked at Adidas in various roles, including manager of global entertainment and influencer marketing operations, as well as manager of global culture marketing. Larry created global processes and systems and trained numerous countries in contract tracking and social media analytics. Larry also worked as a senior marketing manager at Amazon Music and as a director of marketing at Stones Throw Records. Most recently, they joined Eventbrite as a senior community marketing manager.
Larry Sun completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Double Major - Applied Mathematics and Music-Interdisciplinary Computing and the Arts from UC San Diego, where they studied from 2002 to 2007. Later, from 2015 to 2017, they pursued a Master of Business Administration degree in Marketing from USC Marshall School of Business. Additionally, in April 2019, Larry obtained a certification in "Leading Your Team Through Change" from LinkedIn.
