Benedict Olaoya is an accomplished Chief Information Security Officer currently leading security initiatives at Energy since April 2021. In addition, Benedict serves as Co-Chair and a member of the Governing Body for the UK CISO Executive Summit at Evanta, a Gartner Company. With extensive experience as CISO and Managing Partner at CARG Consulting Limited, expertise includes providing compliance assurance and governance consultancy across public and private sectors. Previous roles include Market CISO at FTSE 30, CISO Adviser at TSB Bank, Smart Metering Security Lead at EDF Trading, and Security Management Consultant at Prudential plc. Education includes a Master of Science in IT Security from the University of Westminster and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, complemented by further studies at Imperial College Business School and Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
