Marios Detsis is a highly experienced medical professional with significant expertise in vaccines and public health. Currently serving as a Senior Medical Affairs Scientist and Medical Advisor for Vaccines at Pfizer since March 2017, Marios also collaborates scientifically with the European University Cyprus. Prior experience includes a Pediatric Residency at "Agia Sofia" Children's Hospital, a Research Associate position at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, and research roles at the National School of Public Health, focusing on vaccination coverage and healthcare evaluation in Greece. Marios has also held leadership positions at the Hellenic Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, overseeing divisions related to foodborne and vaccine-preventable diseases. Academic qualifications include an M.D. from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon, a Master's in Public Health from the National School of Public Health, and a Master's in Biostatistics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
