Mandy Spaan is a seasoned scientific consultant at Adelaide University since July 2023 and serves as an associate editor for Human Reproduction Open at the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology since October 2022. As a postdoctoral fellow at AMC - Academisch Medisch Centrum since December 2017, research focuses on the long-term health of children conceived via assisted reproductive technologies. Additionally, Mandy Spaan is a university teacher and education coordinator in the Epidemiology and Data Science department at The Netherlands Cancer Institute, contributing to the Long Term Impact of Fertility Treatments (LIFT) Study. Volunteering with Nierstichting since September 2017 and having previously held the role of PhD student at Antoni van Leeuwenhoek, research centered on hormone-related cancer risks linked to ovarian stimulation for IVF. Mandy Spaan's academic journey includes a Master’s degree in Health Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a Bachelor's degree in Dietetics from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.
