Mercedes M Diaz Sanchez serves as an ICT Security Officer at the European Parliament since February 2024 and holds a dual role as an observer and member of the ENISA ad-Hoc Working Group on Awareness Raising since July 2021. Previously, Mercedes led cyber culture initiatives at NVISO BE from April 2017 to January 2024, and managed deployment and integration teams at Real Impact Analytics from November 2015 to September 2016. Other notable positions include serving as a Security and Infrastructure Manager at Accenture, and as a Young Advisor for Digital Agenda to Vice-President Neelie Kroes of the European Commission. Educational qualifications include a degree in Computer Engineering from Universidad Pontificia Comillas and advanced studies focused on customer centricity and awareness programs at Vlerick Business School and SANS Technology Institute, respectively.
