Mark English is an experienced policy and media advisor currently at European Movement UK since December 2021. Previously, Mark served as a policy assistant to the director at the European Commission and communication manager at the European Parliament. An extensive career at the European Commission spanned from October 1996 to October 2018, including roles such as head of media in the London office and spokesperson for the former Commissioner for Research, Innovation and Science, Máire Geoghegan-Quinn. Mark's expertise also includes project coordination for the European Year of Languages and contributions to economic reform initiatives as a member of the Lisbon Strategy Task Force. Education credentials include an MSc in Politics and Administration from Birkbeck College and various qualifications in journalism and teaching English.
