Roel O. currently serves as the Head of the CIO Office at the European Medicines Agency since November 2020, where responsibilities include ensuring efficient delivery and maintenance of information-management systems. Prior experience includes a role as IT Strategy & Portfolio Manager at Europol, overseeing ICT demand management and governance from October 2013 to October 2020. Roel O. also held the position of IT Strategy & Transformation Manager at Accenture, focusing on optimizing IT for Fortune 500 clients, and worked as an Entrepreneur at Engage, providing IT and telecommunications solutions to small businesses. Education includes a Master’s degree in Management & ICT from Delft University of Technology and additional studies at IE Business School and Rotterdam School of Management.
