Robert Rubió is a seasoned legal professional specializing in data protection and public administration. Currently serving as a Legal Officer and Data Protection Coordinator at the European Commission since November 2023, Robert previously worked with IOM - UN Migration as a Legal Officer focused on data protection from August 2022 to November 2023. Robert has extensive experience in various legal roles, including Head of the DPO Office at Fundació TICSALUT and multiple leadership positions at the Union for the Mediterranean, where responsibilities included legal oversight and procurement. Robert's career began at Legal Link (now ECIJA ABOGADOS) as a lawyer and includes a legal officer position at Localret. Robert holds several advanced degrees, including a Master’s in Advanced Public Management from Universitat de Barcelona, a Master’s in IT Law from Esade, and an additional Master's in European Studies from Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia.
