Angus Nicoll worked as the Head of the Influenza Programme at ECDC starting in August 2005. Prior to that, they were the Director at the Communicable Disease Surveillance Centre in the UK from March 1991 to July 2005.

Angus Nicoll completed their MSc in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London, between 1984 and 1985.
