Enrico Canzio has a diverse range of work experience in the legal and finance fields. Enrico began their career as an associate at BonelliErede, where they worked from 1998 to 2000. Enrico then joined Sullivan & Cromwell as a Foreign Associate from 2001 to 2002. After that, they worked as an Associate at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer from 2002 to 2004, where they managed the M&A team in Rome and advised on complex domestic and cross-border transactions. Canzio then joined the Asian Development Bank as a Counsel from 2004 to 2006. In 2007, they transitioned to the EBRD, where they currently serve as Director and Chief Counsel for Banking Operations. In this role, they manage a team of lawyers, provides strategic counsel to senior management, and assists with policy development and strategic initiatives. Additionally, Canzio has served as a Visiting Professor at the Sciences Po School of Public Affairs since 2010, focusing on Financing for Development.
Enrico Canzio obtained a Bachelor's Degree in International Public Law from Luiss Guido Carli University in the years 1990 to 1995. Enrico then pursued a Post-graduate Course Certificate in International Trade Law at the University of Turin - ILO in 1997. Later, in 2000 to 2001, they earned a Master's Degree in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law from New York University. Additionally, Enrico Canzio holds Bar Memberships in England and Wales as well as in Italy.
