Matthis Birenheide has extensive experience in aviation operations, currently serving as the Head of Operations Support & Programme Manager for New Space at EUROCONTROL since May 2007. Matthis has held various leadership roles within the organization, focusing on operational transition, airport integration, capacity performance, and collaborative decision-making. Previous experience includes senior roles at Fraport AG, where responsibilities spanned aerodrome certification, operational planning, and training. Matthis also contributed to international aviation standards through representation at the International Civil Aviation Organization. Additionally, Matthis possesses a background in gastronomy, having managed various hospitality establishments prior to entering the aviation industry.
