Katerina Nikolaidou

Katerina Nikolaidou is a researcher at Eurecat - Technology Centre since May 2024, with a previous role as a postdoctoral researcher at ICFO from September 2021 to May 2024. Prior experience includes serving as a research associate at INESC-MN from May 2019 to July 2021, contributing to the European Horizon 2020 project iGrape, focusing on micro-optical systems for viticulture. Katerina's academic background includes a PhD in Physics from the University of California, Merced, attained in 2019, and a Master of Science in Sustainable Energy Futures from Imperial College London. Early education culminated in an integrated Bachelor's and Master's degree in Physics from the University of Bristol. Katerina has also held teaching assistant roles and completed an internship at Isotrol, where responsibilities included equipment selection for photovoltaic plants and client engagement.
