Marco Meloni's work experience includes the following roles:

- Altimetry Systems Engineer at EUMETSAT since November 2020 (ongoing)

- CryoSat Mission Geophysicist and Data Quality Expert at Serco from June 2018 to November 2020

- Ocean And Coastal Altimetry Cal/Val role at Serco from April 2017 to November 2020

- Project Manager as part of the DSI contract with the European Space Agency at Serco from November 2012 to May 2018

- ESA GOCE Quality Control Expert as part of the IDEAS contract at Serco from June 2009 to November 2012

- System Integrator and Software Engineer at Capgemini from June 2008 to June 2009.

Marco Meloni has a strong educational background in the field of engineering. Marco obtained their first level degree in Telecommunication Engineering from Universita' degli studi di Roma Tor Vergata from 2002 to 2005. Following this, they pursued a master's degree in Telecommunication Engineering from Università di Roma Tor Vergata, completing it from 2005 to 2007. Marco furthered their education by enrolling in a PhD program in Geoinformation at Universita' Degli Studi di Roma Tor Vergata, which they successfully completed from 2009 to 2016.
