Carlos F. has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Carlos started their career at the Center for Computer Graphics CCG/ZGDV in 1998, where they conducted research and development in teaching and training in distributed environments. In 2000, they joined Critical Software SA as a Senior Software Engineer, and later took on the role of Business Account Manager from 2007 to 2009. In 2005, they joined the European Space Agency (ESA/ESRIN) where they worked on the evolution of ground segment technologies and project support until 2011. Currently, Carlos F. is employed at EUMETSAT since 2012, serving as a Data Processing Systems Procurement Engineer and Service Manager.

Carlos F. attended Escola Secundária de Avelar Brotero from 1990 to 1996. Carlos then went on to Universidade de Coimbra, where they studied without pursuing a specific degree or field of study from 1996 to 2001.
