Gerard Pennards has over two decades of experience in entomology and taxonomy, currently serving as Team Leader Taxonomy and Senior Taxonomist at Eurofins MITOX Group since March 2002. Gerard leads a group of expert taxonomists specializing in insects, arachnids, and acarologists at Mitox Trial Management B.V., where responsibilities include overseeing technical and taxonomical aspects. Additionally, Gerard works as a Dipterologist at NCB Naturalis and has extensive experience as an entomologist and field worker, with a focus on various arthropod groups. With an educational background in Biology Entomology from Wageningen University & Research, Gerard has also held roles in quality assurance and system administration prior to dedicating their career to taxonomy.
