Paul Exley has a strong background in engineering and software development. Paul started their career at Nortel networks as a Software Engineer in 1998. Paul then joined Trinity Convergence in 2001 as a Principle Applications engineer. In 2007, they moved to Pace Micro where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer and later as a Software Team Leader until 2012. After that, they joined ETAS as a Product owner / Project manager and Software Engineer. In 2015, they were promoted to Group Manager and in 2020, they became the Director Of Engineering for ETAS York.

Paul Exley earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Physics from Loughborough University from 1994 to 1998. Paul also obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Engineering Physics from the same university during the same period. In addition, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in DSP and mobile from the University of Westminster from 1999 to 2001.
