Richard Bailey is an experienced professional with a diverse background in surveying, community development, and enterprise management. Currently serving as a volunteer with Essex Wildlife Trust since January 2022, Richard holds a position on the board of trustees for Fingringhoe Church Green Trust Limited, focusing on the expansion and redevelopment of a retirement home. Richard has previously worked as a chartered surveyor, providing solutions for spatial challenges, and held leadership roles such as Chair of Hythe Forward, the first Community Land Trust in Essex, and Director at Tendring Enterprise Agency, where Richard contributed to establishing the first non-funded voluntary enterprise center in the region. Richard's tenure with Essex County Council involved managing several business centres, while earlier experience includes roles at INVEST Essex and Mercury Theatre Colchester. Richard holds a degree in Surveying, Valuation, and Construction from the University of Reading and has undergone further education at Wellingborough School.
