Lucas Bastin KC has an extensive legal career, currently serving as a Barrister at Essex Court Chambers since 2016. Prior experience includes a role as Barrister at Quadrant Chambers from 2013 to 2016 and as an Associate at Latham & Watkins from 2009 to 2013. Lucas began the professional journey as a Judicial Law Associate at the Federal Court of Australia between 2006 and 2008. Academically, Lucas holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Public International Law and a Bachelor of Civil Law (Distinction), both from the University of Oxford, in addition to a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Sydney.
