Alasdair Hind is a Senior GIS Consultant at Esri UK, where responsibilities include coordinating technical product communications regarding ArcGIS across various channels, including social media and the company’s technical blog. Alasdair previously served as a GIS Consultant, specializing in technical pre-sales with a focus on 3D GIS and its integration with Building Information Modeling (BIM) projects, while also being a qualified trainer. Prior experience includes working as a Project Lead at Tadpole Technology, where Alasdair contributed to the development of custom ArcMap extensions for the survey industry. Alasdair holds a PhD in Modelling Science from the University of Strathclyde and a degree in Marine Biology and Oceanography from Bangor University.
