Serena Frijters is an experienced data journalist and consultant, currently working at de Volkskrant since February 2019 and at Espria since November 2018. Serena has provided freelance advisory services since January 2012, focusing on business intelligence and requirements analyses. In academia, Serena teaches and evaluates courses at Hogeschool NOVI. Previous roles include data scientist positions at Coöperatie VGZ, where analyses supported marketing intelligence and pharmaceutical procurement, and interim business intelligence analyst at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. and Volkswagen Pon Financial Services, focusing on data warehouse expansion and regulatory reporting.
