Nikša Markovac has a diverse work experience spanning from 2003 to 2023. Nikša started their career as a Trainee at Confida Revizija d.o.o. in 2003, followed by a Trainee position at Discordia Audit in 2004. In 2005, they worked as an Advisor at LG Chem and then joined Erste Bank as a Trainee in 2003, where they stayed until 2004. Nikša then joined Agrokor as a Trainee in the Corporate Finance Department in 2006. From 2007 to 2013, they worked at Zagrebacka banka, initially as a Junior Investment Banking Specialist and later as a Senior Relationship Manager. In 2013, they joined Erste Group Immorent as a Senior Workout Manager, where they worked until 2017. Nikša then moved to Erste Group as an Executive Director and is currently working as the Managing Director at Erste Group Immorent since 2023. In addition to these positions, they had a brief tenure as a Member of the Management Board at Sun Gardens Dubrovnik from 2015 to 2016.

Nikša Markovac obtained a BA and Master's degree in Corporate Finance and Auditing from WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) from 2001 to 2007. Additionally, they pursued further education in the same field, earning a Master's degree from Michigan State University from 2005 to 2006.
